FREEDOM VILLAGE CHURCH REBRAND PROPOSAL
The building remodel for Freedom Village Church (FVC) presented an opportunity to refresh its brand alongside the new space. FVC requested a logo that was more flexible, simple, and adaptable across both their physical environment and digital presence. I worked closely with the FVC leadership team and developed a concept rooted in the idea of “honoring legacy and embracing growth.” We explored the physical and spiritual identity of the church and drew inspiration from architectural elements that connected the past and future.
The arch motif reflects the window styles found in both the old and new building. The diamond star at the center references the handcrafted stained glass designs of the existing space. This central shape also serves as a visual representation of FVC’s core values: Centered on the Gospel, Sent on Mission, and Empowered by the Spirit.
In addition to the primary mark, I created a secondary "Freedom F" symbol designed as an internal community piece. Inspired by traditional blackletter typography, the “Freedom F” design is intended for apparel, mugs, and other physical items that reinforces a sense of belonging within the church.
The final brand is modern, versatile, and deeply connected to both the current and future identity of Freedom Village Church. It bridges heritage with growth, ensuring the visual identity resonates within the newly designed space while maintaining a timeless aesthetic that will serve the church well into the future.
