I took the lead on a significant project involving the branding of YISS Guardians athletics. Inspired by the legacy of Admiral Yi, we aimed to create a modern logo that could be seamlessly utilized across both digital and print applications. The launch of this branding initiative took place earlier this year, and we are thrilled to see it prominently displayed throughout the YISS Campus.
Our approach to the logo design was to incorporate elements that pay homage to the past while ensuring a clean and refined aesthetic suitable for physical and digital usage. We carefully preserved certain key features, such as the mascot costume, while optimizing its appearance for various applications.
The wordmark component of the branding is designed to be versatile, maintaining consistency with the Bradley U font and complementing the Helvetica Neue Family. This flexibility allows us to adapt the wordmark to different campaigns and specific athletic teams as needed.
